What a weekend!!

Wow!! What a weekend it has been for our Valley family!! Tomorrow starts another school week, and I'm not sure where the time went!

Friday we had an amazing Fine Arts Night, showcasing the many talents of our Valley students.  It was another great get together night with a variety of student art projects and collaberations and time for the parents to get together and catch up.  The middle school production of Hatshepsut was awesome, the kids hard work really showed through!! They looked like they were having such a great time during the play.  The beautiful voices of the Valley Chorus group through Shannondoe, One Moment in Time, and a spirited version of Hakuna Matata, were so great to hear.  Then Valley middle schoolers Bleu and Trevor ripped through Led Zeppelin's Sunshine of My Love.  Not to be outdone, the Valley band closed out the musical portion of the night with March of tde Bambist and the Valley Circle Munch.

Saturday night saw the first ever Valley Euchre Tournament.  We had a great turnout at Alexander J's, who put on a great spread of appetizers and provided very helpful and friendly staff, with a mixture of Valley Alumni, Staff, Parents, Board Members, and Friends.  We look forward to planning another one real soon, so keep an eye on the Valley Facebook page and here at the blog for details.

Valley Senior Becca Smith posed a double threat with an outstanding performance at the Senior Voice Recital at the Goodrich Methodist Church and an appearance on MLive on Sunday.  The article recognizes Becca for her amazing achievements at Valley, of course we already knew how great she is but it's nice that the rest of the world can play catch up!! The weekend also saw the final three performances of Suessical the Musical staring Valley students Tori, Mia, Rowan, Kieran, and Liam.  These five students performed a total of six shows, over two weekends, with this production being Tori and Mia's first performances with the Kidz Theater Kompany in Fenton.  They all did such a great job and looked like they were having a great time at every show!! Thank you to all of the families that came out to support these five, I know they were all excited to see their classmates and families in the crowd.

Valley really is fortunate to have such a talented and dedicated group of Students, Parents, and Staff.  Thank you all for everything you have done throughout the year for the school, our students, and our family.  It is because of this that Valley really is more than a school, it is a family, a village, working together to make the best future possible for our kids.

THANK YOU!!!
